Compressed Non-Asbestos Gaskets (Buy Now)

Sterling Seal & Supply 7001 is a compressed non-asbestos sheet gasket material Produced from a combination of aramid and other synthetic fibers and bonded with nitrile rubber (NBR) it is an exceptionally good general service gasket material that has numerous applications in the process industries and in the water and wastewater industry. Sterling Seal & Supply 7001 is suitable for service handling the following general media categories: water, diluted alkalis, industrial gases, and general chemicals Commonly used in equipment such as valves, pumps, flanges, Doors, mixers, agitators and automotive. Style 7001 is manufactured through the hot calendar process under rigorous quality control standards that are registered under ISO-9001 Certification.

Non Metallic Gaskets

Boiler Gaskets

BLUE-MAX® and BLACK-MAX® manhole and handhole gaskets, engineered to provide all the durability, resilience, and sealing properties of an asbestos gasket, but without the asbestos. A BLUE-MAX® gasket is manufactured from a proprietary tacky cloth of glass, synthetic fibers, and brass wire, impregnated with a blue elastomer compound. The material is cut and formed to the desired size and shape, then coated with a proprietary Teflon material per MIL SPEC T-27730A. The finished gasket is easily installed, delivers trouble free service, and does its part to reduce expensive boiler maintenance and downtime.

PTFE Envelope Gaskets

Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) envelope gaskets provide excellent sealing in corrosive environments. PTFE envelope gaskets are available in standard sizes and configurations, as well as custom sizes upon request. PTFE envelope gaskets are available slit (v-type) or milled (square cut) with a variety of materials available for fillers.

Uses For PTFE Envelope Gaskets Fillers
General Purpose Glass Lined Equipment Non-asbestos Elastomers
Pharmaceutical High Purity Corrugated Metals (with and without tabs)
Piping Service Flexible
Food and Chemical Industries Graphite
Sizes: 1/2 to 96 Graphonic

Rubber Gaskets

Sterling Seal & Supply 7106 Neoprene 60 Durometer rubber is a very good general service gasket material that has numerous applications in the process industries and in the water and wastewater industry Temperature range -20 F to 190 F Sizes and hardness's other than those shown are available at This material is black in color with a smooth finish Sterling Seal & Supply 7106 is suitable for applications requiring moderate exposure to the ozone Neoprene is suitable for water, hydraulic silicates and has moderate oil resistance qualities This material is impact and abrasion resistant Commonly used in equipment such as valves, pumps, flanges, doors, mixers, agitators and automotive replacement parts.

PTFE Gaskets

Expanded PTFE sheet is made from 100% expanded PTFE. A soft gasket material designed for high performance service in extreme caustic to acid chemicals. This material has all the benefits of Virgin PTFE sheet, but with significantly less creep and cold flow that is commonly associated with Virgin PTFE.

graphite gaskets

Sterling Seal & Supply, Inc Style 7000 products provide a tight seal after repeated exposure to the harshest environments. Flexible graphite’s main attributes: resistance to heat, fire, corrosion and aggressive chemicals make it the most universally applicable sealing solution on the market today. Flexible graphite achieves optimal results where other materials fail. Seals easily under moderate bolt loads and reduces gasket damage in handling and installation.

Vegetable Fiber Gaskets

Vegetable Fiber is a treated cellulose fiber material impregnated with protein glue and a glycerin binder. It is commonly referred to as Detroiter. This material works well for a wide range of sealing applications where temperatures can reach 250°F. It is strong and flexible, resists heavy pressure and is compressible. It is used most often in industrial, chemical, petroleum, petrochemical and automotive industries. Vegetable fiber is chemically treated to be resistant to oils, water, alcohol, grease, air, gas, gasoline and other solvents.

Expanded (Soft) Teflon Gaskets

Sterling Seal Inc Style 1501 made of PTFE have proven their long-term reliability under extreme operating conditions over the course of many years PTFE conforms to common flange imperfections. Sterling Seal, Inc Style 1501 Expanded PTFE Gaskets are designed to outperform both conventional (filled and skived) PTFE and other PTFE gasketing in steel piping and equipment Expanded PTFE has the chemical resistance of conventional PTFE sheet gasketing without the creep and cold flow commonly associated with that material. PTFE is particularly recommended for applications in the food and beverage industry where high purity materials are required because of Style 1501 greater tensile strength then other brands.

NSF-61 Approved Gaskets

Sterling Seal & Supply offers products that are certified to follow NSF/ANSI Standard 61: Drinking Water System Components. NSF/ANSI 61 testing regulations cover any product encountering drinking water and sets the maximum safety levels for potential contaminates.
